EPA rules go into effect January 1, 2010

This date has not had the impact that Jan 1 2000 had but it can be just as significant for your industry or business.

The EPA regulations that require facilities to monitor and report annual green house gases will go into effect. In April of this year the EPA Mandatory GHG Reporting Rule was published in the Federal Register and the public comment period closed 60 days later. As of January 1, 2010 the threshold for reporting is 25,000 metric tons equivalent.

Here is another cost to be added to the current expense of running a facility. The EPA estimates the average cost of “reporting” will be $0.04/metric ton, but then what will the cost be of coming into potential “compliance at a later date?

What can be done to cut emissions and stay competitive in today’s market?

We have some solutions drop us a line and lets discuss it.
